>>9011 (OP) Granted, the shadow struggle in Democratic politics over the last 2 years has shown that the trannies are just as adept as ever at keeping themselves firmly wedged into elite social liberalism. The 2nd waver feminists simply don't have the numbers to displace them in elite conversations. So it looks like 19/20 of the Dems who participate in the next stage of campaigning will have staffs that are unthinkingly pro-trans, and the 1/20 that is trans-critical will be the proverbial blind pig who occasionally finds an acorn. Nevertheless, I'm willing to venture that we have passed "peak trans." The metabolism of the trans conversation is simply too fast. Google Trends shows it ramped up in 2015 (after gay marriage was legalized in the USA and the LGBT movement needed something new to do) and hit almost all of its peaks in 2016-17. That's pretty speedy growth for a culture war issue. The only spike in web traffic that has hit the same level since then was the Bud Light scandal, and that was 3 years ago. If we assume that there was a backlog of people with badly managed mental disorders, most of them claimed their genderspecial self-identity in or near 2020, got their rainbow party, and are now thoroughly back in the throes of their mental disorders. We've probably run through the backlog of high-test guys who are at-risk to develop AGP when the missus hits menopause and they're sent to the goon cave. The rate of uptake must have slowed by now. A related argument is that I think the shock factor of trans shit is wearing thin, and I think transitioning is getting normalized by default. Despite the hysterics, there has not been any widespread right-wing push to detransition people. The driver's license stuff is probably the most that right-wing politicians will ever be able to do to trannies, and beyond that I think that trans people will simply hold their ground. If they're not going to camps, and they're not going to simply fade away, then I think that people are going to get used to seeing the occasional tranny or genderspecial. The "why u mad tho" crowd is gaining ground on this issue. As tranny stuff loses its shock value, it will also be less useful as a signal for liberal politicians. In 10 years, tranny politics may be much like HIV / PReP politics: something niche followed intensely by queers and treated with apathy from the general public. And liberal politics will chase other ways to signal their views to the base.

>>9011 (OP) Woke II is going to suck but honestly the right had it coming. They squandered their golden opportunity on the most pointless things. Imagine if Trump had shut up and poured all the money/resources on hand into rebuilding American manufacturing. >>9209 FTMs living in the West are the dumbest people. You were living life on easy mode and you gave it up. I don’t get it.

The Democrats are already tripling down on thr trans movement, based on official statements from the party, the Mandani administration in NYC, and announcements from aligned NGO's and unions. There will be no rebuilding of our strip-mined economy. There will only endless trans shit that further alienates people who could vote for them.

What's even left to triple down on? 95% of millennials who could remotely have trooned out already have, with the final round of them coming out over the pandemic. after that the production line is pretty smooth, as zoomers on forward emerge on to social media fully transed. they're past the "door to door shock" period. The gas they've got left could (most likely will) last generations; the senior activists still have not yet exhausted the strategic reserves of nuremburg-christianity fuel they and zionism were granted by the Postwar International Order. Israel has of course dumped their allotment on the ground and ignited it post-10/7, but the transactivists have been coming in solidly under budget even as the iran war rages. Their post-second-nakba "trans genocide" posts are all languishing in the drafts, patiently awaiting a "lasting" "ceasefire" and the breaking of ground on the first trump resorts in the freshly-repaved gaza strip. That many BritTERFs happen to be zionists themselves hasn't even made the transactivists more violent towards them at a time when the planet really could do with less of them breathing it's air. Maybe there's an IRGC-style Plan to Trust re: JK Rowling and her never having met a state department scheme she didn't want to skip out on. There better be. The core "progressives" (labor zionists) like Big Boy Pritzker here are actually floating the very insultingly obvious lie that the trump administration will be prosecuted. even obama respected his voters enough not to so much as hint that the Bush administration would be placed on the correct side of a firing squad - and everything he did was a stab in the back.

"trans shit" is flattening the real phenomenon. Progressives today believe in an "omnicause" best exemplified by the template "x-rights are y-rights", where x and y can describe any group. This bundling is necessary in a landscape where attention spans are relatively small -- the egregore can take a 3 month concentration in immigration policy while organically queuing up data centers as the next big thing (via data center -> ai -> palantir -> ice). This strategy is not top-down, but a naturally selected capitalization of the Paranoid Style in American Politics (Hofstadter, 1964) on the growing populist left. This natural process (American Third-Worldist Peronism?) shows no sign of slowing, and will probably rule America without interruption until the coming fiscal crisis hits, when interest payments hit 25% of government spending, around 2040. At that point people will just let Yarvin give it a shot. If you have kids you should work to ensure they have a pathway out of the country, preferably to Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, etc.

>>9244 > this is just college students, genpop data should be higher as post-2008 trans is a downwardly-mobile (ex-)middle-class/proletarianization-threatened labor aristocrat phenomenon This is an interesting point and I think there is a chance you are right but I'm not fully convinced. I'm so used to assuming that all niche gender and sexual minorities are hugely overrepresented in the 'liberal college student' category that, while being a lazy stereotype, is still basically coherent as an identifiable group. In particular my experience with trans people is mostly ultra-highly educated (masters and higher) MtF techies who I suppose the internet would call 'AGP transbians' except in my experience they are usually quiet and gentle people who are a million miles away from the caricature of a deranged bristle-chinned pervert. But these people, despite their incredible visibility on the web, genuinely are 1% of 1% of the population. Or at most 2% of 2% - that is, 2% trans among 2% of the population who have postgraduate tech degrees. So I am willing to believe that there is a tranche of working-class failsons and faildaughters who identify as trans, that far outstrips the archetypal MtF tech workers. I suppose these would be the discord crowd. Really, the best comparison is with incels (an admittedly related and intersecting group). The media idea of the incel is an upper-middle-class guy with massive privilege, probably going to a good university, maybe even working a good job, who nonetheless inexplicably despises women because of reasons that border on the risible - spurious evopsych and canthal tilt. When in reality I do think it's true that the archetypal incel is not that privileged - because (this one's for you, Jezebel), privilege really does work and statistically speaking it tends to mean you don't become a sad and lonely fuck-up. When I think of what incels probably look like, I think of divorced parents, weird neuroses due to mixed race parentage, downward mobility, intellectual failure resulting in inferiority complexes, post-industrial towns with bad prospects for anyone, chad or otherwise. This has been a ramble. But let's just say (and I apologise for the anglocentrism of my concluding remark) that I think incels don't come from surrey, they come from canvey island. >>9587 the mardoll situation feels unique in that she (or was it he?) was even among a web collective of shrill browbeating moralisers the most shrill and the most incessantly moralising. tbh i dont think working on rocket engines or whatever is a truly evil thing to do, you dont control your country's foreign policy and the fact is that even a leftist should recognise that their own country still needs an arms industry. but when it's the person who calls people ableist for saying that writers should read books, and it turns out they have a completely fake and gay nepo baby sinecure at a defense contractor, it is too beautifully ironic to resist the urge to point and laugh
>>9652
The comedian who's sketch inspired that convo in >>9587 turned out to be a total nepo baby himself (mom literally dated epstein, dad on the board of CBS) but that's almost totally expected. You begin to recognize these traps as you see them. "comedy", especially popular stand-up, has become a complete polarized shithole where survival depends even more on sus connections than it once did. That's a separate discussion all it's own though. What did just happen here, with this brief social media episode, was a perfect little shitcoat. We saw this time and time again during COVID, another big time of great contradictions. Everyone whose criticism of the mandate regime became the most visible, more often than not, was on the right. (Or worse, turned to the right later.) All the crime, destruction and theft of COVID was only allowed to be opposed by rightoids in the rightoid System, and therefore "leftoids" in the "leftoid System" were required to attack the rightists by defending the mandates. Anyone who identified as "left" who opposed mandate world was singled out for direct distributed attack. The covid mandate opposition shitcoat playbook I just described was merely a refined repeat of the trans opposition shitcoat playbook from a decade before, where activists did basically the same thing to everyone who was in their way. They won changes to basic societal interaction that are unlikely to be walked back even if the willpower existed to do so. The transactivists were in turn borrowing a winning strategy from the original shitcoaters of the postwar period - the zionists. Israel coasted on 80 years of Post-Nuremburg moral authority. For decades, the only people who dared to criticize it were neo-nazis and other various Protocolsian antisemite niche groups who were already far on the fringe. Anyone else who dared speak out against Zionism got painted with that brush. Zionism got, and is getting, everything it ever wanted with a minimum of friction from the home front. The temptation to repeat this process has proven irresistible even though it has become increasingly recognizable.
we got another ana mardoll type situation in aisle 4. although there was far more evidence that mardoll was a real lockheed martin employee

the mardoll situation feels unique in that she (or was it he?) was even among a web collective of shrill browbeating moralisers the most shrill and the most incessantly moralising. tbh i dont think working on rocket engines or whatever is a truly evil thing to do, you dont control your country's foreign policy and the fact is that even a leftist should recognise that their own country still needs an arms industry. but when it's the person who calls people ableist for saying that writers should read books, and it turns out they have a completely fake and gay nepo baby sinecure at a defense contractor, it is too beautifully ironic to resist the urge to point and laugh

turned out to be a total nepo baby himself (mom literally dated epstein, dad on the board of CBS) but that's almost totally expected. You begin to recognize these traps as you see them. "comedy", especially popular stand-up, has become a complete polarized shithole where survival depends even more on sus connections than it once did. That's a separate discussion all it's own though.
