ISO "Baby Alex" by Quentin Scobie : Anonymous : 12 days ago : No.8608 >>8645
>>8608 (OP) Wow, I forgot all about this book. I ripped the epub off Kindle when it came out but honestly I don't think I ever read it. The file might be a little screwed up since I probably put it through Calibre. I kind of stopped browsing /lit/ in 2021 and never followed Quentin very closely, but it's cool to know people are still looking for it. Here you go gofile(dot)io/d/t91cbV

Looking to borrow a copy of Baby Alex by Quentin Scobie. It's out of print and I don't want to spend $40 on a used copy. I can send a rare-ish book from my collection in return. If anyone has an epub or scan, that's cool too. Tyvm

>>8617 Wouldn't necessarily think so. I too (nta), and I think maybe a dozen others on /lit/ have been interested in it, given also how unavailable it is. I never cared too much for Q's videos, but something about this book seems intriguing, more so than the books /lit/ people have put out.
is this an astroturf by Mr Scobie to get me to search "Baby Alex by Quentin Scobie" and become interested in this online author?

Page 1 > With his rifle positioned at his target, while closing one eye, the young man pulls it's trigger, and blasts his reptilian adversary square in its beastly maw. lmao. apostrophes are hard I guess.

Funny you should post this as I just saw him read from his Substack at a literary reading event last night in London. Used to be very enamored with his videos and music back when the yt channel was still a thing but it's kind of depressing to see that his only output since then has been this series of autofictional recountings of sexual escapades with older women. I'll admit they are funny and well written but came across as rather humiliating and embarrassingly out of place when at the event.
