Did the death of a person you never actively followed affect you negatively or significantly?

I don't even like Dragonball, but I was wrecked when Toriyama died. It really made my mortality hit home to see the loss of a "big name" in animé.

David Bowie and Prince. Not a pop music person in general but the talent and individuality of these two were truly out of this world.

No but death is a part of life and is there. Accounts left accessible after death feel somber for a lil bit but eventually begin to feel like history. There's less effect if bots or death notes crowd their own stuff out but it depends. Sometimes coming across unknowns are like stopping by their grave or memorial.

I will admit that I only got into many singers / bands / music artists after they died. Is what it is.
