Hello /pt/. I've noticed that we don't have many math or science threads. So, I present this simple problem, which you should be able to solve: which way is bus going?
You Should Be Able To Solve This :

It's going right, as clued by presenter's left eye (our right) blinking. Or it's going left, as clued by the presenter's right eye (our left) being open. Or maybe it's going left, as clued by the presenter's right hand (our left) being extended. Or maybe it's going right, as clued by the presenter's hair over his (?) left shoulder (our right).

Puzzle is broken imo, can't be solved. But I won't spoil it.
No, the puzzle is perfectly fine. It's a problem children can solve perfectly, actually.

Are you trying to say bus is going left? If so, your reasoning is rather unclear...

Wow, so many points to debvnk...
>It's obviously the side of the bus without the door
How do you know that the bus even has doors to begin with?
>This will vary by country
Hint: the answer does not depend on the country, the problem would be boring otherwise.
What do you mean it's unclear? It's obviously the side of the bus without the door, so it's going in the direction it would go when we're facing the side without the door. This will vary by country.

Point me toward a real commercial bus that travels as you've described, please. I am more inclined to believe there is a fucking bulldozer pushing the bus towards the viewer!
>>4732
This bus can travel horizontally and is thus moving away from the viewer.
>By that logic, bus could be moving toward the viewer...
Wrong.

Are you trolling? Whether the bus has doors or not is totally irrelevant to the problem; there are other details you can absolutely draw from. Also, I'm curious as to where you found your "solution"...
>>4789
Most likely, but do recall that vehicles (including buses) are able to, in fact, travel in reverse...
>>4790
The bus is a libertarian, an NRA member, on six (6) blocklists, politically tolerant, gay, and has been a furry since 2016.
i looked up the solution and the door guy was right dunno what op has planned or is trying to do besides waste everyone's time

Nope, Martin Gardner must have stolen it. I'll be contacting my brother Kevin, he's a lawyer.

Despite how genius this contraption may be, you have still not provided a real commercial bus that commutes as such, let alone proven that bus in the problem and yours are one in the same. Massive fail!

It is very simple. The wheels are mounted such that driving forwards make them navigate horizontally. To drive along the freeway, the bus is turned at 90 degrees

I'm not even OP, and I'm telling you that they can't be the same puzzle, simply because one bus has people you can see through the windows, and the other you can't. You're meant to use the side of the road the bus is on -_-
>>4856
>>4847
Certainly not the same puzzle because there's no visible driver, children, or persons in OP's problem, so of course you can't say "the driver's on the right". Retard.
I looked it up too. Door guy was right. If that's not the solution, then tell us what it is, otherwise shut the fuck up.

Holy fuck, you somehow fail to understand the solution to a different problem even when it's right in front of you. The whole point is that you can see everyone except the driver, implying they must be on the other side, and thus the door is also on the other side. Fucking double retard.
It's just faces of kids looking straight ahead giving no indication of which direction the bus is going. There's two fucking arrows going in different directions right above them and the text clearly alludes to the same puzzle, you fucking retard.

Stupid fucking retard, that solution is obviously the right one. Buses have one side with a door, this isn't the side with the door. You can figure out which way it's going based on that.
At this point, I'm assuming this is ragebait and I'm falling for a troll. I really fucking hope so because you're too stupid to live. Fuck you and bye forever.

What if it's a bus with a door on the other side?
How could you possibly know the bus has even one door if you can't verify people are inside, let alone fucking see them? For all we know it's one of those driverless Chinese deathtraps. The answer is in the road, dickhole.
OP here, it seems some of you got there in the end (congrats!), although I now realise the problem is significantly harder than I initially thought...
In return, I've come up with an easier and, quite frankly, a much funner problem.
OP here again, it seems that I hastily made a typo in my new and easy problem (teehee XD); consequently, I have patched in the necessary correction. Apologies for the confusion!
One of the most stupid threads yet, congrats
How is it stupid? These are interesting problems that harbor intellectual discussion. I think you're too stupid to solve, lol.
I use the bus problem as a litmus test for morons. Seriously, it's so painfully obvious that the bus is going right and that you should be able to solve this, and all roads of life inevitably lead to this conclusion if followed far enough. I hope the bus problem stays around another 100 years so I can easily identify all of the idiots who haven't been folded out of the gene pool yet.
