I want to read pic rel, but I'm afraid that any English translation will basically be cucked thanks to you know who. If a decent English translation exists, please let me know.
People say Dreyfuss is a good guide to Heidegger but I have a sneaking suspicion that's the boomer's Heidegger. It seems he's too narrowly focused on technology and insufficiently mindful of the existential stuff.
Had to read this in a german philosophy class in undergrad and really didn't get it. In class I remember asking "okay but what does he mean by 'being'" and the professor was like "you know, it's being. it's all that 'being' can mean".
"So like, does 'being' mean 'existing'".
"No not exactly".
