And sunrises too : Anonymous : 1 day ago : № 13934

I don't know why the sunsets are more beautiful there. In Europe, the sun just sets Quietly, routinely, uneventfully. A clockwork event, a flipped switch. A nonpersonal consequence of spinning celestial bodies in motion. It's light outside, then it's dark. In the New World, the sunset is an event. Not every sunset, but a lot of them. Watercolor hues, three dimensional cloud stacks. All blanketing the ugliest environmental sprawl known to man And blessing the suburban ugliness with its beauty, turning even the asphalt and strip malls holy for just a moment. I do miss the special moment Of heaven, earth, and human body. It grounds you. I always gave it its due diligence and respect. But I wonder. It's the same sun. The same atmosphere and the same radii. What's the deal? Is it really all down to latitude? I don't believe it. The sky god reigns there and that's where my inquisition ends.

nice, anon. big open spaces grant sunrises and sunsets a canvas befitting their celestial enormity, that's my take

(I already posted this one on /pt/ a while back and it bugs me to repost images - especially with the high 5-digit amount in my collection - but it might be one of my absolute favorite pictures I've found online.)
