>>12435 (OP) What the fuck is with all those paint flakes at the back of your range?

I am going to leave this goulash to cool on the hob (stovetop) overnight and put it in the fridge when I wake up tomorrow morning and you can't do anything to stop me and I promise I won't get food poisoning. p.s. if anyone wants to know the most important thing about goulash it's that you dissolve the paprika in the fat before you add the stock or broth because otherwise you won't get the lovely rich red oil slick on top.

>>12445 I think those are grains of dry rice which OP has not bothered to clean up. Or fingernail clippings. Probably the former though.

>>12510 It's ok I passed the PD3 test they have here which allegedly makes me B2, I'm definitely not in practice though. I read massively more than I can understand in spoken conversation. Putting spaces between words is considered uncouth in this language.
How's your Dansk coming along

>>12511 Rough, but I sympathize. Even the other Scandinavians can't understand spoken Danish. You're basically studying the equivalent of idk Frisian or some shit in terms of Germanic interoperability. I'm positive it's easier to learn Finnish to an equivalent daily spoken level than Danish, even as an Anglophone.

>>12518 I do sometimes feel slightly envious of people learning German or French with their massively wider utility and actual monolingual speakers. But to be fair being able to read Norwegian virtually as easily as Danish and Swedish with only somewhat more difficulty is a pretty nice benefit.

Right, but if you learned Swedish or Norwegian, you could read AND speak to the other two languages, not just read them

>>12538 Disneyland is maybe overstating it but I find it hard to imagine a city I'd prefer to live in.
Copenhagen is like fucking Disneyland if you're young, even moderately good looking and groomed, and willing to put in even a modicum of work into the language (disqualifying most Anglophones which is why I'm proud of Admin-sama and cheer him on). The uncultured ones go to London or god forbid, North America. I look back upon my years in the region very fondly. Scandis can be a tough nut to crack and they have their warts, don't we all, but they make it worth it if you can pass the test. They also think the mirror is one-way and that no foreigners understand them on their level. And there's nothing I love more than peering behind the veil.
