I imagine it's a weird experience being a cricket fan in North America but maybe it has the unusual advantage of giving you instant rapport with a large percentage of South Asian men? My friend is an English guy, pretty conservative, probably a bit racist, but his best work friend is an Indian guy because they can banter about cricket together.

Cricket for me, is actually a winter sport. Mid-winter. Dark. Snow is falling. Fireplace roaring. Laying on the couch, while reading a novel, and watching some lads bat around a ball in the sunshine of the antipodeans.
