I think it will mostly stay the same, with some things improving and some degrading. Right now, it feels like the turmoil will never end and we are in deep long hell. Wars, economy, ai (rapid tech progress), etc. But these things are always been there and people adapted, survived and thrived somehow

same. sometimes i think if i should go full apathetic and immerse myself in my interests the way autists do. and become detached from reality. it actually might be the smartest move because why not enjoy life while its still possible to enjoy it? but reality is like a car crash i can't look away from. unlike you i dont even wanna history unfold but its impossible for me to not watch. my brain psychology must resemble that of someone who believes in the rapture so how can I stay sane? if there was a zombie apocalypse imminent or a prediction that a meteor is 100% going to hit the earth in 2037 or something sure I'd stick around until then because endtimes would just be 1 day. but climate change is fucking slow, millions of dominoes need to fall and even then there exists a slight possibility that we might be alive (but with way worse quality of life) so it feels like microdosing psychological torture. there's going to be a new data center where I live and the cops have suppressed the protest against it to the point that I've only heard about the protest from a comment on a reddit thread.
a while ago someone on rsp made a comment saying that they're scared this time because we're not up against oil merchants from the past or whatever, this time the rulers have DATA. how are we going to fight against that? and never have i felt the feeling of being in a dystopia so acutely.

I think it will mostly stay the same, with some things improving and some degrading. Right now, it feels like the turmoil will never end and we are in deep long hell. Wars, economy, ai (rapid tech progress), etc. But these things are always been there and people adapted, survived and thrived somehow

Human loss of control -- are humans in control currently? Certainly seems like technocapital is holding the reins where it matters. Powerful individuals can make meaningful nudges, and this balance is likely to continue even in extreme scenarios.
