redscarepod ruined my life. : Anonymous : 17 days ago : No.11471 >>11592
>>11471 (OP) which city? >>11527 i was in the minneapolis group and it was much lower-key than this, mostly movie nights and casual outings. it also faded due to increasingly spergy vibes and the de facto leader bowing out, but it was chill while it lasted.

I met with a group IRL for a while. This was about three years ago. Those people, their tactless bullshit, their careless, self-centered decisions, have tanked my life completely. I have been spiraling into addiction and homelessness for all this time. Those people are all I think about and all I have been able to think about. I cannot feel any positive emotion. I cannot imagine anything worth looking forward to in my life. I have genuinely nothing to lose. All I feel is hate, hate, hate. I want those people dead so badly. I have been so deeply angry for so long.

>>11502 there were/are meetup discords for cities all over the country. they hit their stride in 2023ish - philly, chicago, and one of the west coast ones (can’t remember which) got a lot of attention. in the early days it was always 50/50 men/women. nobody was ever outright ugly. and EVERYONE was at least slightly spergy. hand on the bible, i swear it’s true. lots of the reddit RSP types were loners who didn’t have a “scene” before this. it felt electric to be a part of. everybody really clicked. it was a way for pretentious internet addicts to feel normal, to get a taste of a full social life. it felt like crack over time the newcomers got more reddit-y. gamer nerd loser types, exclusively male. it all faded away pretty quick after that everybody who was a part of it genuinely misses it. the drama did tend to get intense. messy hookups were a problem. bullying/catty behavior went too far at times. i’ve read rumors of two suicides, each in a different group, but i cannot confirm and i don’t want to be the asshole who asks. fun stuff but yeah i understand why it haunts some people.
wtf lol what happened? more details plz. how did a red scare pod meetup group traumatize you so badly

People in the redscarepod sphere have some weird trauma bond that makes it impossible for them to leave. Every time I decide to look in on the subreddit it's mostly people just bullying each other like they're in high school. It's not surprising that it's not any different IRL.

>>11629 You seems familiar with them. Any stories?
They've been increasingly overrun by actual Redditors who use the sub(s) as places to be actual pricks for no reason. This has really killed the community and quality of discussion on them.
