Never could get on board with his music, and that's beside the fact that being a Kanye fan is a red flag for a certain cluster of male personalities. I've been hearing about how great he is since /mu/ 15+ years ago, but everytime I tried to listen I came away hating it, and I'm the sort of listener who always looks for the bright spot in anything. I overheard a snippet of his music at work once without knowing who it was, exclaimed "this is the wackest rhyme ever" (it was something about foyers or halls or something) and was given the most admonishing look by a coworker, blasphemed he was, like I cursed Jesus's own name at the parish gathering. I did like Kids See Ghosts though, that was a good project.

I don’t listen to him very much these days, at least compared to when I was in college or hs, but I think he’s still my top played artist of all time according to lastfm. Hard to talk about him without echoing the general consensus that his run from dropout to Pablo is one of the greatest in pop history. Certainly the high water mark for hip-hop as a whole at this point.

>>11192 Kanye and "skinny white well-read art hoes", are you on autopilot or what? Just repeating that same phrase every week and applying it to any damn thing. Fucking NPC thoughts
>>11196
>>11192 as opposed to fat black art hoes?
I always thought he was slight better than average, at best. He had a few zinger lines at best that would make me chuckle, but that's all. MDBTF was good, but not groundbreaking. I think the main appeal of him was that he wasn't all gangster macho macho like some other rappers during his prime and therefore had a bit of a broader fanbase. Skinny white well-read art hoes especially. He really began his descent into madness once he started trying to get into fashion. Nobody wore yeezys except dudes in their 20s who have no other aspect to their personality
