I've realized, though crucial to my daily life and beliefs, I know nothing about economics. In fact, it eludes my grasp and I've thought to call it fake. In a bid to better myself and learn something, I thought to ask my peers at /pt/: how do I into economics? Pic maybe rel?

just in the sense that when a job / activity / business takes your interest asking yourself simple questions like 'who buys this service? what does it cost to provide it? who is employed to do this job' and so on starts to build up something approaching the web of interactions that constitutes economic activity
I have read effectively zero about economics in a formal sense, but I feel that trying to think more structurally about the role that various productive activities play in the economy, how they produce value, what inputs and outputs they have, and so on, has allowed me to be able to think more rationally and intelligently about a lot of things that you might call 'economics' without every really having to 'do theory' so to speak.

that's part of the reason I seek out actual knowledge on economics, though it seems that there is very little solidity within the basis of the science even among its theorists. I want some hard numbers and analysis, not handwaving or pontificating.
Bear in mind that 99% of Econ discourse online is carried out by people with zero interest or curiosity in economics, and will use what few snippets they’ve heard solely as rhetorical support for whatever policy they’ve already decided on
